Entry requirements

New Zealand entry requirements for Canadians

Do Canadians need a visa for New Zealand?

No visa for visits up to 90 days, but a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) and the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (both paid in one transaction when you request the NZeTA) are required before you fly. You must also complete the free New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) online or in the app — one for every traveller, including babies and children — and it must be submitted by the time you reach passport control, so do it before boarding.

Passport valid at least 3 months beyond your planned departure. Always confirm on the official source before you travel.
