Do Canadians need a visa for Austria?
No visa for stays up to 90 days in any 180-day period (Schengen). The EU's biometric Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully operational since 10 April 2026 — passport stamps are replaced by a digital record, and your fingerprints and facial image are taken at the border. The ETIAS travel authorisation (€20, free for under-18s and over-70s) is not yet in force; the portal is not open yet, so ignore any site selling it. Check before you fly.
