Do Canadians need a visa for Finland?
No visa for stays up to 90 days in any 180-day period (Schengen). The EU's biometric Entry/Exit System (EES) has been fully operational at all Schengen external borders since 10 April 2026 — your first entry registers fingerprints and a facial image instead of a passport stamp. The ETIAS travel authorisation is not in operation yet (planned to start in the last quarter of 2026, exact date to be announced) — no action needed now, and when it opens the fee is €20, valid 3 years or until your passport expires. Apply only via the official EU site, europa.eu/etias.
