Partner & Collaboration Policy

LS

By Lisa Salter

Montreal travel advisor · Updated August 8, 2026

This policy governs partnership applications, collaborations and inclusion in any TravelDesign By Lisa partner listing or travel-resource directory. Applying means you accept it.

Last updated: 7 August 2026.

Eligibility

We consider applications from real, operating businesses and organizations in or adjacent to travel: resorts and hotels, tourism boards and destination organizations, tour operators, travel services, destination wedding professionals and venues, photographers, content creators, publications, transportation providers, attractions and excursion operators, travel technology companies and travel brands.

You must have a working website, accurate business information, and the authority to speak for the organization you're applying on behalf of.

Application process

  1. You submit the application form.
  2. We acknowledge receipt by email. That email confirms nothing beyond receipt.
  3. We review the application, your website and your relevance to travellers.
  4. If there's a fit, we contact you directly to discuss what a collaboration would look like.
  5. If a listing is appropriate, we create it ourselves from information we've verified.

No guarantee of acceptance

Submitting an application does not create a partnership, a listing, a link, a mention or any obligation on our part. We decline more applications than we accept. We are not required to give a reason, and we may not respond at all.

Editorial discretion

TravelDesign By Lisa retains complete editorial control over acceptance, directory inclusion, descriptions, categories, outbound links, anchor text, rel attributes, placement, ordering, modification and removal.

Directory inclusion does not guarantee any particular link, link attribute, placement, anchor text, ranking benefit or reciprocal listing. We may add, change or remove links at any time based on editorial relevance and applicable search-engine and legal requirements.

Truthful business information

Everything you tell us must be accurate. Misrepresenting your business, your relationship with us, your credentials or your services is grounds for immediate removal and permanent exclusion.

If your details change — you close, rebrand, move, change ownership or stop offering a service we've described — tell us so we can correct or remove the listing.

Trademarks, logos and imagery

If you send us a logo or images, you confirm you own them or hold the rights to license them, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them in connection with your listing and related content. We may resize, crop or optimize images for the web.

Our name, logo and brand assets remain ours. Being listed does not license you to use them, to describe yourself as an official, certified or endorsed partner, or to imply a relationship broader than the one we've actually agreed.

Content and photo rights

You keep the rights to material you supply. We keep the rights to everything we write, photograph and produce ourselves, including listing copy, which we author and may rewrite at any time.

External links

Outbound links exist for readers, not for search engines. We apply link attributes — including nofollow and sponsored — at our discretion and in line with search-engine guidelines, and we may change them at any time without notice.

Reciprocal links

We do not operate a link-exchange programme. Linking to us does not qualify a business for inclusion, improve its chances, or create any obligation. A listing with us does not obligate you to link back to us, and we will never require it.

Sponsored, commercial and affiliate relationships

Some relationships in travel involve compensation — commissions, hosted stays, familiarization trips, paid campaigns or affiliate arrangements. Where that is the case:

  • The arrangement is agreed in writing before anything is published.
  • The content carries a clear, visible disclosure.
  • Paid links are marked with rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow".
  • Payment never buys a favourable review, a ranking position, or editorial control.

We do not sell links, listings, or placement in the ordering of a directory.

Prohibited industries and content

We do not partner with or list:

  • Adult content, gambling, or anything unlawful in Canada or the destination concerned
  • Businesses involved in exploitative or harmful animal tourism
  • Link farms, private blog networks, link-selling services and SEO link schemes
  • Businesses that misrepresent safety, licensing, accreditation or consumer protections
  • Anything requiring travellers to be misled to work

Removal and termination

Either side may end a collaboration at any time, for any reason, by telling the other. We may remove a listing immediately and without notice if information becomes inaccurate, the business closes or changes materially, the link destination becomes unsafe, or the relationship no longer serves travellers.

Privacy

Application data is stored securely, used only to evaluate and manage the partnership, and never sold. Marketing consent is separate from your application and optional — you can withdraw it at any time. See our privacy policy for the full picture.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version you accepted is recorded with your application, and material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page.
