This policy governs contributions submitted to TravelDesign By Lisa through the Write for Us page. By submitting a pitch, you agree to it.
1. Purpose
We accept useful, firsthand travel contributions: resort and hotel reviews, destination guides, cruise reviews, travel experiences, travel tips, original photography and expert commentary.
2. Eligibility
Anyone of legal age who holds the rights to the material they are offering may submit a contribution.
3. Editorial discretion
TravelDesign By Lisa retains complete discretion over the acceptance, editing, publication, placement, updating and removal of any contribution.
4. No guarantee of publication
Neither submission nor preliminary approval guarantees publication.
5. Originality
You represent that the material you submit is original or properly licensed, and that you have the right to offer it to us.
6. Firsthand experience
Any claim that you stayed at, visited or personally experienced a property or destination must be truthful. Fabricated reviews are prohibited and are grounds for immediate rejection or removal.
7. Accuracy
You are responsible for the factual accuracy of your contribution, including any prices, dates and conditions you describe.
8. Photography and media rights
You must own the images you submit, or hold sufficient rights to authorise their use. Where a contribution is accepted, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, resize and promote those images as part of the published content and its promotion. You keep ownership of your photographs.
9. Editing rights
We may edit for grammar, readability, formatting, accuracy, style, SEO, accessibility and legal or compliance reasons. Material changes to your meaning will be handled reasonably and discussed with you where practical.
10. AI-assisted content
We do not accept fabricated AI-generated travel experiences. Where AI was used materially in creating a contribution, disclosure may be required. The human contributor remains responsible for accuracy, originality, copyright, factual claims and all firsthand-experience claims.
11. External links
We retain complete editorial control over links. No submission guarantees a backlink, dofollow status, particular anchor text, link permanence or a reciprocal link. We may add, modify, nofollow, sponsor-tag or remove any link at any time.
12. Commercial relationships
Paid, sponsored or otherwise commercial relationships must be disclosed to us. We may reject undisclosed promotional material.
13. Affiliate disclosure
Where applicable, we may add our own affiliate links or disclosures in accordance with our policies and applicable law. Publication does not give you monetisation rights over the published page.
14. Prohibited content
- Illegal or infringing material
- Plagiarism and spun content
- Deceptive claims and fabricated reviews
- Malicious links or malware
- Discriminatory or abusive content
- Spam, undisclosed advertising and link schemes
15. Attribution
Published contributions are normally credited to their author. We do not guarantee any particular form of attribution beyond what we agree for that contribution.
16. Compensation
Contributions are ordinarily unpaid unless compensation is separately agreed in writing before publication.
17. Content licence
If we accept your contribution, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, format, reproduce, promote, distribute, translate and archive the contribution and any supplied photography. You keep ownership of your work and may republish it elsewhere unless we agree otherwise in writing.
18. Removal and updates
We may update or remove published content where necessary — for example where information becomes inaccurate.
19. Privacy
Contributor information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
20. Policy changes
This policy may be updated. The version you accepted is recorded alongside your submission.
